Pixels ''The Review''

So once again I am going to be reviewing a movie instead of a video game, but with this movie being based on ''1980's'' video games, I feel I am compelled to review it. With just seeing the movie no more than 5 minutes ago I can't help but feel completely SATISFIED with what was produced. I am not going to go into deep detail about everything that happens in the movie because this is a movie that I feel if you are a ''Gamer'' you need to see the movie yourself. I believe that some of the reasons that so many entertainment and social media outlets gave bad reviews on the movie was based solely on the concept that the reviewers were not ''Gamers' and they also judged the movie on the other aspects other than its gaming roots. And what I mean to say is that the movie tried to produce a love scenario, just like all Adam Sandler movies do, and at that aspect the movie falls flat on its face. Almost all the romance scenes seem thrown together, and rushed, and Sandler and Monaghan don't seem to be into the scenes at all showing barely any emotions and instead just blowing threw them. I understand a need for romance in movies, but this movie didn't need this at all, and would have been better let alone. And that's pretty much all I am going to talk about that because that is the only part of the movie that really fell short of anything. Sandler and James did what they do best, and that is bring out the best acting in each other, the two of them produced comedy throughout the entire movie and made you want to watch more and more. Gad and Dinklage also played their roles to the T! With Gad playing the wimpy geek that he is and plays so nice on the big scene, and Dinklage playing the cast bad ass and why he is so good at acting as the bad guy. With Sandler, James, Gad, and Dinklage they just seem to cover every aspect needed to complete the movie, and there are many actors that could have been used in this game flick but I don't think they could have played up to what was produced. Lets talk about the ''Pixels''. Talk about reliving the 1980's all over again. This movie had it all from Donkey Kong to Galaga, and from Tetris to Qbert. Every classic game was produced to perfection and used in the best possible ways. The best Pixels in the movie were definitely Pac Man, Centipede, and Donkey Kong. These parts of the movie that were portrayed in real life aspects can only be described as epic, as every scene had perfect locations for the mini arcade battles, and had music cues that made you want to get up and dance. The entire plot of the movie was great, could it be better, sure it could, but so could a lot of movies that have come out year to date. I honestly think this is one of the best gamer movies ever produced, and can only hope to see a sequel in the near future involving maybe the NES Saga instead of the Atari Saga. Would I watch this movie again and refer it to a friend? Already have, and hope that you give this movie a chance if of course you are a video game fan. If you are not into video games then this movie is just not for you, but just don't judge the movie based on what other media outlets have previously reviewed it.

9 out of 10

I would have rated it better if the romance scenes were not so over used and pointless to this kind of movie. But nonetheless, the movie was great, and I would watch it over again to relive the 1980's lore! Great job everyone!
